First, there is pressure in the tap water pipe, but there is no pressure in the toilet tank. Because of the pressure difference, there is basically no reflux.

Secondly, the water inlet of the toilet tank is higher than the liquid level of the water tank, so the water in the water tank cannot flow back into the water pipe through the water inlet.

It is worth noting that the check valve is installed in the water supply pipeline, and the drainage system should not be equipped with a check valve, so do not install a check valve in the toilet sewer to prevent backwater. Because the check valve is used in a pressurized pipeline, it relies on the pressure of the water flow to control the opening and closing to prevent backflow. The drain pipe of the bathroom is a pressureless pipe. The check valve cannot be opened by the water flow. If it is installed, it will only be blocked there, which is meaningless.

What are the installation positions of the toilet check valve?

Swing check valves are generally installed on horizontal pipes: for check valves with a diameter of DN*80mm, they can also be installed on vertical or upward inclined pipes.

The straight-through lift check valve should be installed on the horizontal pipeline.

The vertical lift check valve must be installed on the vertical pipeline, and the medium flows from bottom to top. Since the check valve is easily damaged, a check valve should be installed near the pump outlet, and a cut-off valve (generally a ball valve or a gate valve) should be installed on the upper part of the check valve to facilitate maintenance. In order to facilitate the pressure relief before the check valve is disassembled, and there is no purge valve, a purge valve for pressure relief should be installed between the check valve and the shut-off valve of the toilet.
